Man Asks ‘Are You Ready For Your Abortion?’ Before Running Over Pregnant Girlfriend With Car [Video]

“Are you ready for your abortion date?” Those are the words that 7-months-pregnant Crystal Lynn Noordhuizen heard on the phone just before her boyfriend ran her over with his car. Justin Lee Colby, 33, is facing a charge of “attempted homicide — domestic” for hitting 32-year-old Crystal Lynn Noordhuizen with his 2006 Dodge Charger as she walked alongside the road.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that this isn’t the first time that Colby has struck someone with his car. In fact, just three years ago, Colby was charged after running over his own brother with his vehicle following a fight. On Monday, police claim that Colby struck again, this time running over his 7-months-pregnant girlfriend.

Noordhuizen, the pregnant girlfriend, says that the couple was having a fight. In an effort not to escalate the situation further, Noordhuizen left the home. After she left the home, Noordhuizen claims that Colby called her on her cellphone and asked, “Are you ready for your abortion date?” After receiving the disturbing phone call, Noordhuizen would be run over by Colby as she walked in front of a local car dealership.

According to WPTV, the entire incident was caught on surveillance tape. In the video, you see Noordhuizen walking along the grass shoulder of the road. All of a sudden, a 2006 Dodge Charger can be seen driving up onto the shoulder striking the woman. After hitting Noordhuizen, the car crashes into a nearby pole. Instead of exiting the vehicle to provide medical help to the pregnant woman, the driver walks away from the scene. Police say that Colby walked to his home nearby, got on a motorcycle, and fled the area.

Fortunately, the Florida Highway Patrol say that Noordhuizen suffered only minor injuries after being treated at nearby Bayonet Point Hospital. Police also note that Colby is now in custody after police located him at a local McDonald’s.
