Eva Mendes is reportedly depressed after giving birth to a baby girl back in September. According to InTouch Weekly, it sounds like Eva might be suffering from postpartum depression, which is very hard for many moms. The report claims that Eva has been staying out the public eye because she has been having a hard time keeping herself happy.
“It seems like she’s suffering from the baby blues. She’s been having severe mood swings, making it unbearable for anyone to be around her. One minute she’s sending Ryan videos of their daughter, and then the next she won’t accept his calls,” shared a source.
Despite that report, Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have been raising their baby without a nanny, and other sources have said that things at home have been simply wonderful these past few months. According to People Magazine, the new parents have been tired, but they are “so in love” with baby Esmeralda.
Of course, there have also been reports that Eva and Ryan have split since welcoming their first child together, but the two managed to debunk those rumors earlier this month. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the actors attended Don Rickles’ show at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles on January 17. Onlookers say that the new parents looked very cozy together, and that they seemed very much in love.
“So far, it looks like things have been going really well. Sources say that Eva and Ryan are so in love with their little girl. And while the two might not have any immediate plans to wed, Esmeralda could be the reason that her parents stay together,” reports the Inquisitr.
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have not spoken about their new addition, and the two haven’t shared any photos of their baby girl. While some might think there is something wrong with that, the actors are both extremely private people. They likely want to keep their little girl sheltered as much as possible right now.
According to E! News, becoming parents has been a blessing for both Ryan and Eva. Sources say that Ryan’s heart has been completely melted by his little girl.
“Ryan sings to the baby. He loves it. Sometimes he’ll make up his own songs and include her name in them. It’s very sweet.”
Of course, parenting isn’t always easy, and it’s certainly possible that Eva is suffering from postpartum depression, but it sounds like things are going okay, for the most part.
