The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney is currently on baby watch as her son’s wife is getting ready to give birth. Even though Tamra wanted a fifth child of her own, she will now have a little baby to play around with, as she will now become a grandmother. While Barney is not pregnant herself and may have put the plans of having another baby completely on hold, Tamra can’t wait to have a granddaughter.
Since Tamra Barney’s son Ryan and his wife, Sarah Rodriguez, are private people and are not associated with The Real Housewives of Orange County, fans have been following Barney on social media for updates in regards to the pregnancy. And it sounds like things are going well at the moment despite some complications earlier this month.
According to a new Instagram post, The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney is now revealing that there are less than two weeks to go before Sarah’s due date, and Barney is already shopping up a storm.
“11 more days! She’s going to look so cute In her valentines outfit. #AvaRyan,” Tamra Barney revealed on Instagram, while sharing the most adorable picture of some baby clothes.

This is the first grandchild for Tamra, who just turned 40 a few years ago while filming The Real Housewives of Orange County. Of course, Barney herself has gone through some major changes while filming the show, including divorcing Simon Barney, getting married to Eddie Judge, and now becoming a grandmother.
But the pregnancy hasn’t been easy. According to the Inquisitr, Sarah has been on bedrest for a while after going into early labor.
“First, an ultrasound showed one of the babies kidneys was not developing [a condition called pelvic kidney]. Luckily, with that, everything turned out to be OK,” Tamra Barney has revealed of the pregnancy, adding, “Everything was going smoothly until the last week when Sarah started having contractions early. She went to the hospital with contractions three minutes apart. The doctor has been giving her medicine to stop them and steroid shots to help develop Ava’s lungs. She is at 34 weeks and baby Ava could risk having underdeveloped lungs and low birth weight. We are hoping the doctors can keep her cooking until 37 weeks.”
Since that update was in early January, it sounds like baby Ava is doing great.
What do you think of Tamra Barney becoming a grandmother? Do you think this will satisfy her baby fever for now?
