Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have done two seasons of True Tori together, but Dean said he was done with the drama toward the end of the second season. What does the actress have up her sleeve to do next? There have been some rumors that she was shopping around a reality TV show with her mom, Candy Spelling, but that may not be quite right. In fact, those who loved True Tori may seemingly have more to look forward to yet on that front after all.
Gossip Cop shares that a story coming via Life & Style regarding a Tori and Candy Spelling reality show is false. As fans of Tori’s know, her relationship with her mom has been a difficult one for years, even more so since her father Aaron Spelling died in 2006. Tori and her mom have gone through periods of not speaking to one another and sharing hurtful tidbits about each other in the press, but Candy has also popped up on Tori’s various shows as well.
The site notes that in reality, True Tori is expected to return for a third season after all. While fans won’t know for a bit exactly how that looks in terms of Dean and his frustration with filming, Spelling is expected to return for more. While it’s certainly possible that Tori’s mom, Candy, will appear on the show at some point, in some context, there seems to be no truth to the idea that the two are doing a full-blown reality TV show together.
Despite all of the drama that viewers saw on True Tori, the family actually seems to be doing well off-screen these days. Tori has been posting to social media frequently, including plenty of updates and photos from a big family trip over the holidays. Tori and Dean definitely seem to still be together and stronger than they’ve been in a while, and the kids seem happy and well.
After a complicated year or so in the relationship between Tori and Dean, and a season finale that seemingly left things in a complicated state, it does seem that the family has reconnected. Spelling and McDermott have avoided headlines, for the most part, despite rumors here and there about another pregnancy or a divorce shocker. While many True Tori viewers would have expected these two to split once and for all after the season ended, it seems the couple is managing to surprise everybody.
Though it does seem a bit unclear just what the future holds regarding True Tori and Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s reality TV plans, supposedly the idea that Tori and mom Candy Spelling are angling to do a show together is not on the table.
