WWE News: Updated ‘WrestleMania 31’ Card Following ‘Royal Rumble’ Pay-Per-View

Last night’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view left the WWE Universe wanting a lot more from the Royal Rumble main event. For starters, WWE’s presence on social media didn’t quite go the way they had planned. In fact, the hashtag #CancelWWENetwork was the number one trend in the world at one point last night. It was all due to everyone’s favorite WWE superstars getting thrown over the top rope by the Big Show and Kane with ease.

The actual Royal Rumble match began exceptionally well with the return of Bubba Ray Dudley at #3. From that point on, the Philadelphia crowd was on fire. They blew the roof off the Wells Fargo Center when Daniel Bryan came out, who was their favorite to win the Rumble. After nearly 10 minutes, Bryan was knocked off the ropes by Bray Wyatt, and the WWE crowd turned sour.

Aside from guys like Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, and Bray Wyatt, the WWE Universe in attendance, and across the world, was truly disgusted at what was happening.

Stemming from a Roman Reigns victory last night, rumors are beginning to swirl about the WrestleMania 31 card. According to SEScoops.com, this is the absolute latest heading into Monday Night Raw tonight.

  • Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar
  • Sting vs. Triple H
  • John Cena vs. Rusev
  • Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton
  • Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

Too bad the crowd last night in Philly didn’t read the rumored-WrestleMania 31 card, or there would have been more than just riots in the streets. To address the critics of last night’s Royal Rumble main event, that was the plan the going in from Vince McMahon and Triple H. The last update on their reaction doesn’t hint at a change going forward.

Fortunately, the card for WrestleMania 31 will have its high points. First off, the match between Sting and Triple H will be highly promoted. The WWE Universe just wants to see Sting wrestle in a WWE ring. On top of that, the Undertaker is rumored to wrestle Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31.

There will always be critics because the WWE is different to each fan. Scouring Twitter last night and into this morning showcased the die-hard fans who despised the decision last night. It also showed the fans who just enjoyed the event altogether.

If McMahon decides to throw another man into the main event, would that change the outcome? It seems that both WWE decision-makers, McMahon and Triple H, want Reigns to go over with the fans. However, everything can change in the WWE, so being patient with the booking is a wise decision. There’s still 62 days until WrestleMania 31, and anything can happen.
