J. Cole And Fiance ‘Wedding Plans In Full Swing’
Reports surfaced a couple of weeks ago that J. Cole had proposed to longtime girlfriend, Melissa Heholt. But now it seems that the couple has confirmed, albeit without speaking a word. Heholt, J. Cole’s fiancee, was seen at L’Fay Bridal in New York City, an upscale wedding vendor.
The upscale wedding planner was tagged in a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Congratulations to our newest bride #weddinggown #weddingdress #lfaybridal #nycbride call us for your appointment in our new location.”
If she’s shopping for a dress, J. Cole and his woman must be ready to walk down the aisle sooner than later, and according to Madame Noire, their wedding plans are “in full swing.”
Neither J. Cole nor his fiancee have actually commented on their supposed wedding. According to Madame Noire, who posted the original Instagram photo, the photo was “swiftly taken down” after the shop had first shared it.

The two are apparently trying to “protect the privacy” of their relationship, with Hot New Hip Hop referring to J. Cole as “definitely not a rapper who puts his love life on wax (or on Twitter or any social media for that matter).”
Although J. Cole and Heholt have tried to keep their relationship under wraps, the two have spent some time in the limelight with talk of J. Cole cheating on his girlfriend since 2003, even fathering a child with what Celeb Dirty Laundry referred to as his “side chick,” Bria.
It appears that all that is behind the happy couple, though, with J. Cole proposing to Heholt with a 4-carat diamond ring. J. Cole first met his lovely lady when they both attended St. John’s University in Queens.
Reports have been out there for over a year, however, that J. Cole would marry his longtime girlfriend, including a Hollywood & Life report from December of 2013, and even one dating back from 2010.
