Donald Trump: The U.S. Is ‘Getting Laughed At By Everybody’

The Inquisitr reported Saturday that Donald Trump is once again hinting that he may run for president, saying he could “do the job” in a speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit – now he is saying he is really considering a presidential bid on 2016.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump responded to doubts that he will actually run, since many people think this is a publicity stunt.

“I am totally serious about this, and I am looking at it so seriously – to the extent that a lot of my time … is spent thinking about that.”

“I look at the country, I see how we’re doing. We’re not respected by anybody,” he said.

“The whole world has blown up around us and we’ve caused so much of that with what’s happened to the Middle East, etc.”

Trump went on to say that he doesn’t believe the economy is improving and the job numbers are fictitious and that the real unemployment rate is closer to 20 percent — because those who have given up looking for work or can’t get jobs have been taken off the roles and are not being counted as unemployed.

“Rich people, frankly, are doing very well,” Trump said.

“I’m doing very well. If you’re rich, you’re doing very well. If you’re middle income or you’re not rich at all, you’re doing very poorly in this country and something needs to be done about it.”

Trump also expressed his views on immigration.

“You have to close up the borders. Right now people are pouring through those borders, you know, pouring through.”

He went on to say that people in Europe and Asia are trying to get into the United States but being denied, while people from “other places” just walk across the border.

“If you have disease, if you have problems, if you have criminal records, if you are a killer – you know, they’re not letting their best people go,” Trump said.

“You know one of the hardest countries to become a citizen of is Mexico?”

When ask when he would officially announce his decision to run, Trump said by the middle of 2015, if not sooner.

“I’m not doing it for myself,” he said.

“I love my life, I love being all over the world doing what I’m doing.”

“Even more than that, I love this country and I would like to see this country be great again. We’re getting laughed at by everybody, we’re spending money on everybody, ” Trump said.

“We have to take care of our own country … we have to rebuild our country.”

According to CBS News, Trump also slammed Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush at the Iowa summit, suggesting it would be an error for Republicans to nominate either of them for the presidential run.

Do you think Donald Trump will really run? Would you vote for him?
