Rob Lowe Slams Obama For Benjamin Netanyahu Snub: ‘Woman Who Eats Cereal Out Of A Bathtub’ More Important?

President Barack Obama has been under criticism recently after he announced that he would not be meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when the Middle Eastern ruler visits the U.S. in March. Now celebrities like Parks and Recreation’s Rob Lowe are voicing irritation over Barack’s denial of a visit with Benjamin.

Rob added his voice to a number of politicians and pundits unamused by the decision — particularly in light of the Obama’s recent meeting with three YouTube stars, including GloZell Green, or as Rob refers to her, “the women who eats cereal out of a bathtub.”

It appears that Rob is not accepting the White House’s official excuse for Barack not accepting an appointment with Netanyahu. Obama’s team says they will not meet with Benjamin because it is too close to Israeli elections, something that Barack does not want to risk influencing by holding office with Netanyahu, said White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.

Lowe may be more swayed by a second theory floating around about the Obama administration’s decision. The Boston Globe published an editorial that was suspicious there would be some kind of repercussion for a separate incident between the two heads of state.

“It’s bad enough that John Boehner invited him to address a joint session of Congress and lobby for more sanctions on Iran — and directly seek to undercut the president’s top diplomatic initiative. Far worse is that Netanyahu accepted the invitation; it was a demonstration of ingratitude and hubris rarely seen before in the annals of the US-Israel bilateral relationship.”

Rob Lowe’s statement was further backed up by an interview in Haaretz. A high-ranking American official, who asked to remain anonymous, told the Israeli paper that Barack and his team were furious over Benjamin’s plans to address Congress.

“We thought we’ve seen everything. But Bibi managed to surprise even us. There are things you simply don’t do. He spat in our face publicly and that’s no way to behave. Benjamin Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price.”
