Police Use Jerry Sandusky Autobiography To Find Victims

Police investigating the Jerry Sandusky pedophile case could have saved themselves a lot of time over their three year investigation if they would have known about the former Penn State employees biography.

The Patriot-News points out that his book Touched (yeah I know creepy title given the accusations) has helped investigators track down four victims.

After investigators found Sandusky’s second alleged victim in late 2009 it was the boys mother who pointed authorities to his book Touched which could be found in the Penn State campus bookstore.

The second victims mother then used the book to point out four more victims by simply skimming through the biography.

Reporters, politicians and members of the community have now begun to question what took so long to investigate various accusations against Sandusky. The slowed investigation has even become a major talking point for Democratic candidates for state attorney general. Those candidates says then-state attorney general Tom Corbett attempted to delay the probe until he was able to secure the state’s Governorship.

Following the scandals public examination all candidates in the state have promised to investigate the offices handling of the case.

Do you think investigators should have acted more promptly to expose Jerry Sandusky if a single parent could expose more than researchers could in three years within just a few short minutes.
