Another Duggar Scandal: Cousin Amy Born Out Of Wedlock To Unknown Father
The Duggar family has strict courtship rituals–hand-holding and side hugs are pretty much the only physical contact allowed. Sex before marriage is unheard of in the Duggar family, or almost unheard of. Surprising news has come to light that Jim Bob’s sister had cousin Amy Duggar out of wedlock five years before she started dating her current husband.

This is not the first scandal for the Duggar family. Back in November, Inquisitr reported on the seemingly gay discriminatory actions on the Duggar Facebook page.
Deanna Duggar,who is 52-years-old, married country singer Terry Jordan in 2006.
RadarOnline started putting the timeline together. In an early 2009 episode of TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting, Deanna openly spoke about her pregnancy with Amy and dating Terry on and off for a number of years.
“Terry and I knew each other a long time ago, and I got pregnant with Amy. And so, we dated each other on and off for quite some time…Then we finally decided you know what, we need to get married! So we got married, we’ve been together 3 years.”
In an 2012 interview with The Examiner, Jordan revealed that he and Deanna had been dating for 20 years. At the time, Amy Duggar was 25 years old – which mean that Amy was born five years before Terry and Deanna’s relationship really started.
So who is Amy’s father? Right now, that is unknown. However, Amy sees Terry Jordan as her dad.

Jim Bob still loves his sister, regardless of her rule breaking almost thirty years ago. Amy, her mother, and Terry have been accepted in to the Duggar family with open arms. In fact, the family gets together at least once a week to spend quality time together. Love, familial love, does conquer some indiscretions.
Amy Duggar has been a big part of the reality show on TLC, often popping in to help with averting would-be disasters. Which includes making a baby carriage out of a pumpkin to announce Anna Duggar’s pregnancy.
So does it matter that we may not know the biological father of Amy? Not really. She is happy, and Terry has obviously been a big part of her life. The Duggar family loves and respects Amy and her mother unconditionally.
Every family has secrets, including the Duggar family. The important part is still be able to accept those who make mistakes and love them in spite of it. It goes to show that the Duggar family may be more accepting than what some may think.
