Jamie Dornan and Robert Pattinson are friends, so it makes sense that the Fifty Shades Of Grey actor has been asking the Twilight actor for advice when it comes to the fandom surrounding super popular movies. Dornan says that he has seen what Rob has gone through, so he’s well aware of what could happen after women fall in love with him (those that haven’t already, that is).
According to Gossip Cop, Dornan understands that there is a possibility that women are going to fawn over him, but he also realizes that he’s not part of something like Twilight, and the situation is indeed very different from what Rob experienced. For instance, Twilight was more pre-teen/teen based, which is a younger audience (in theory) than who will be watching Fifty Shades.
“I’ve been around Rob enough. I’ve seen what it’s been like for him. I don’t know if it’s been a benefit to witness that. Whatever that is. I don’t remember what we talked about the last time I saw him. I think we just got drunk. By the way, it’s not the same thing. We’re not the ‘Twilight’ franchise. We’re a different thing. Whatever my situation is, it’s going to be different from Rob’s. They are incomparable,” Dornan told Variety.
Jamie Dornan and Robert Pattinson seem like quite the pair. After all, two seriously sexy British actors with great senses of humor should be friends, right? According to MTV News, Dornan and Pattinson met after Dornan inked a deal to play Christian Grey. Interestingly enough, Rob was offered the role first, but he turned it down (someone is bound to be upset by this).
It’s unclear how often Jamie Dornan and Robert Pattinson actually hang out, but it’s cool to hear that they enjoy each other’s company. If these two were spotted out together, there would certainly be some freaking out from female fans… and maybe even some fainting! And while he’s not always out with Pattinson, the screaming-fan-freak-out thing is something that people have been warning Dornan about for months.
“I’m astonished at how many people are telling me my life is going to change. Everyone that I meet, especially in L.A. People who run studios or other actors or people who are strangers. Everyone has been saying that to me, ‘Are you ready?’ I don’t have a good answer to that, because I don’t know what I’m meant to be ready for. Whatever happens, happens. I’ll just roll with the punches.”
Since Twilight, things have settled down a bit for Rob. He spends most of his time with his new girlfriend FKA Twigs, and for the most part, people leave them alone. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the two have been pretty much inseparable since they met.
