Leaking Breast Implant Delays Senator’s Divorce Proceedings Against ‘Bigamist’ Wife

The complex divorce trial currently going ahead between U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson and his “bigamist” wife, Lolita Grayson, took an unusual turn, as Mrs. Grayson needed to pull out from the proceedings for the time being due to a leaking breast implant.

The trial, which was scheduled for today in Orlando, has now been postponed till March so that Mrs. Grayson can have her breast implant fixed.

According to an AP report, Lolita Grayson had been suffering chest pains, and when she went to a hospital to get checked out, she was told she needed emergency surgery to remove the leaking implants and scar tissue, according to court papers filed this week.

Her attorney, Mercedes Wechsler, wrote in a court filing, “Due to this medical emergency, wife is unable to prepare for or attend the trial.”

When Lolita sued her husband for divorce following 24 years of marriage, her husband claimed that the marriage was invalid because she was never divorced from her first husband at the time of their wedding in 1990.

Back in 2014, Lolita Grayson filed court papers alleging Alan Grayson had failed to pay for repairs for the 5,300-square-foot Orlando house where she is living with the couple’s four children. Apparently, the roof was leaking, broken windows were allowing rain to get inside, and the house had a bad damp problem.

But according to Grayson’s attorneys, those allegations were untrue, as the congressman was allegedly spending in excess of $10,000 a month on the home’s mortgage, child support, utilities, and household expenses.

It remains to be seen what the outcome of the complex divorce case between Alan Grayson and his estranged wife, Lolita Grayson, whom the former claims was married at the time he married her, will be as attorney’s posture to ensure the best result for their client.

If it does turn out to be the case that Lolita was married when she married the congressman, her claim against him will be null and void, and it is possible that she won’t receive anything in the settlement, depending on the judgment.
