Former QVC host Lisa Robertson will be a guest judge on Project Runway All Stars at 9 p.m. Eastern on the Lifetime network.
Although the Season 4 episode was taped several months ago, this appearance will be Robertson’s first TV gig since leaving QVC on December 12.
Robertson plans to live chat the Project Runway episode on her very active Facebook page, and gave a spoiler alert to viewers in the Mountain and Pacific time zones to steer clear of the page until the show airs in their area.
On Project Runway All Stars, she will join host Alyssa Milano and a panel of judges which includes Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi. Robertson has handled guest judging duties in prior Project Runway seasons.
Last October, Lisa Robertson, 49, surprised her many QVC fans and viewers of the channel in general by announcing that after a lot of soul-searching, she was leaving the West Chester, Pennsylvania-based shopping channel as of December 12 for an unspecified new challenge and new adventure. In case you’re wondering, the initials QVC stand for “quality, value, convenience.”
A former Miss Tennessee and trained classical violinist, Lisa Robertson worked at two other shopping channels before joining QVC in 1995. Over her 20-year career on QVC, Robertson hosted PM Style, Friday Night Beauty, Lisa About Style, and The Lisa Robertson Show, plus the annual A Lisa Robertson Christmas, her signature holiday decorating program which aired its final installment on December 12.
Through the years, Robertson apparently developed a strong bond with millions of QVC viewers, particularly in the fashion arena.
As the Inquisitr previously noted, Lisa Robertson has long been a staple in home shopping. Many viewers loved her presentation, her enthusiasm, and her presence on QVC, and so many trusted her opinions on products that they would purchase for themselves.
Similarly, according to E! Online, “Robertson earned thousands of fans for her quick wit and love for all things fashion and beauty.”
The ex-QVC diva has not yet revealed if she has a new gig lined up or even what that might be. Robertson’s final, heartfelt QVC fashion blog message thanking her fans for supporting her on the TV journey ended with the following promise: “I am not sure what the future brings, but one thing is for sure: it won’t be boring! Thank you for 20 years, I’ll see you soon.”
