Milla Jovovich posted an update on her Facebook page regarding her pregnancy as well as the status of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, the sixth film in the highly successful film franchise based on the Capcom horror video games. According to Jovovich, they will resume filming in August of this year. Filming was delayed to accommodate Milla Jovovich’s pregnancy.

“I’m really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming ‘Resident Evil- The Final Chapter’ in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice’s new “easy mama access” costume;)) so I don’t want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to “action hero” mode,” Milla Jovovich wrote on her Facebook post.
The Resident Evil films are directed by Milla Jovovich’s husband, Paul W.S. Anderson. Anderson has recently revealed that the sixth film could be the last for the franchise.
Aside from the Resident Evil news, Milla Jovovich also spoke at length about her pregnancy and her attempts to keep in shape despite the baby weight.
“I’ve gained all the baby weight I need to have healthy pregnancy… and as of last week, I’ve started having to be really careful about my lifestyle so I don’t continue to gain unnecessarily; which is not healthy for me OR my newborn,” she explained.
Jovovich added, “I’ve started taking long walks to keep my metabolism in high gear and working on a game plan with my trainer. I also want to be the healthiest I can to ensure the easiest delivery and no stress post birth when I have established a nursing routine.”
As for her diet, the Fifth Element star said that she will be avoiding junk food… at least for now.
“Obviously no junk, meaning nothing that comes out of an airtight bag, sealed box or drive-thru (until the weekend)!” she said in the status update. “But that’s ok, because I love to cook at home and that’s the only way to control what you’re consuming.”
According to Jovovich, she shared this update to inspire other moms to work on their fitness plans. She wrote, “I thought I could share the last leg of this journey with you all because I think it’s interesting and potentially inspiring for other moms-to-be.”
