‘Real Housewives’ Show Started Beauty Trend That Prevents Wrinkles?

The women on The Real Housewives shows are known for wanting to look their best on camera. The housewives are often caught going to the spa, getting massages, and even getting a Botox treatment while filming. And while some of the ladies, including those from Orange County and Beverly Hills, are more keen on getting surgical help in looking young, there is one housewife from New Jersey who may have started a more natural – and real – way of looking young.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo was once caught shaving her face while filming the show, and many viewers quickly assumed that this housewife had a hairy face. But Manzo educated Real Housewives fans about the benefits of shaving one’s face. It turns out that she may have known what she was talking about.

According to a new Bravo report, Caroline may have started something due to her shaving on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. As it turns out, Manzo wasn’t just telling people that this was good for the skin to avoid facing the rumor that she had a fair face. Shaving the face does have some benefits, as it exfoliates the skin.

“It’s definitely a thing,” Alexis Wolfer, editor of The Beauty Bean, has revealed, adding that this process is sometimes called “dermaplaning.”

“One reason men are thought to get fewer wrinkles is that they’re constantly exfoliating their faces every time they shave, literally shaving away the outermost layers of skin and encouraging your skin to create new layers,” Alexis reveals, confirming the theory that Real Housewives star Manzo has tried to prove for years.

And this Real Housewives star isn’t scared of sharing her natural beauty secrets with anyone. The reason she doesn’t have any wrinkles is simply shaving her face once in a while.

“Once again, they’ve got me shaving my face on national television. Let me make something clear and hopefully answer your questions once and for all: I shave my face as a method of exfoliating my skin. I don’t shave because I have a hairy face!” she once revealed after stories surfaced about her skin, adding, “I’ve been practicing this for over 10 years, and I haven’t grown any facial hair because of it, and I have beautiful skin with minimal wrinkles. I think this should clarify any questions.”

And while various other celebrities are trying all kinds of treatments, including Kim Kardashian‘s recent vampire facial, this Real Housewives star is just focusing on shaving and supporting her family. According to the Inquisitr, Manzo’s sons are busy opening yet another restaurant.
