WWE News: Spoilers For Surprise Entrants In Sunday’s ‘Royal Rumble’ Match – Former WWE World Champion Returning

The WWE Royal Rumble is now less than a week away, and there really have not been a lot of names announced for the battle royal match itself. It appears as if WWE could be planning plenty of surprise entrants and big-time returns for the match. Some are already confirmed so it’s time to look away if you don’t want to read any SPOILERS.

After Monday Night Raw, there are only 14 names officially listed as entries in the Royal Rumble match. That means there are still 16 open spots, and by now, there are usually many more names revealed.

The surprise entrants are what people are waiting for, and there have been some big names confirmed and rumored so far. Here is a look at just who may show up on Sunday.

Rob Van Dam Royal Rumble

WrestleZone is reporting that part-time WWE star, and former world champion, Rob Van Dam will be in this year’s match. It isn’t known if he is returning for another small WWE run or just the one match though.

Diamond Dallas Page Royal Rumble

According to Wrestling News Source, Diamond Dallas Page is being seen as a very possible surprise entrant into the Royal Rumble. While WWE is said to seriously want DDP in the match, it may not be able to happen.

On Friday, he will be in Utah with Scott Hall and Jake “The Snake Roberts” for the premiere of The Resurrection of Jake ‘The Snake’ and on Sunday, they are hosing a Royal Rumble party with friends. DDP could be flown in, but it seems unlikely right now.

Randy Orton Royal Rumble

When Randy Orton showed up at WWE Live Events back in December, everyone thought “The Viper” was coming back. A small injury had delayed his TV return, but now he may be back in full. TV spots for the Royal Rumble have shown Orton in them, and that could be a slight sign of things to come.

He also is advertised for the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown next week though so Orton could very well return on Sunday.

WrestleZone has also said that Bo Dallas is scheduled to make his return on Sunday evening. Dallas has been missing from his Bo-Lievers since early November with a foot injury, and is finally set to come back.

Last night on Monday Night Raw, R-Truth also teased that he will be in the match on Sunday, but WWE has not confirmed his entry as of yet.

The list of confirmed entrants for the Royal Rumble are:

  • Daniel Bryan
  • Roman Reigns
  • Bad News Barrett
  • Dean Ambrose
  • Rusev
  • Bray Wyatt
  • Big Show
  • Kane
  • Stardust
  • Goldust
  • Fandango
  • Los Matadores (two)
  • Justin Gabriel

That leaves a large number of spots still open even with the spoilers of surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble. Much more could happen before Sunday’s huge match and then it’s up to WWE to see just how much they want to shock the fans.
