Jennifer Lopez Explains ‘American Idol’ ‘The Wrong F**king Guys’ Comment

Jennifer Lopez let slip a juicy revelation about her love life while filming season 17 of American Idol, on which she serves as a judge beside Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. On a recent episode, Jennifer was shown telling her fellow judges that she’s a “great” girlfriend and wife but that she “just picked the wrong f**king guys.”

The pop star and actress’ love life has been tabloid fodder for years. Her long list of exes include Sean “P. Diddy ” Combs, Chris Judd, Ben Affleck, Marc Anthony, and Casper Smart. She has been divorced three times.

Jennifer apparently now realizes how bad her comment sounds. In a lengthy interview with the NY Daily News, she explained that she was just joking. She also implied that she didn’t realize it was going to be shown on the air.

“I was joking around. For me, being on ‘Idol’ is like joking around with friends all the time and now they’re using a lot of that in-between stuff like our talking. And it’s like, ‘OK! Get that out there, why don’t you?'”

Jennifer Lopez now says that it’s not really about having chosen the wrong guys. The 45-year-old star has come to the realization that she plays a part when things don’t go right and that she needs to examine herself instead of just blaming the other person.

“You get to a point in your life where it’s not anybody else when things work out or don’t work out. I think that’s been a big part of my journey to finally sit back and go, ‘Hey what is it that you think you’re doing?'”

Lopez also revealed that she now knows that she has to love and be happy with herself before anyone else can add to her happiness.

So now that she has acquired such knowledge and reflection, is she letting her The Boy Next Door co-star, 27-year-old Ryan Guzman, with whom she has steamy sex with in the film, add to her happiness? The two are rumored to be getting close.

Jennifer Lopez denied that she’s going in a relationship with another much younger man. She said that they have simply “been doing a lot of promotion together.”

Nor has she gone back to an old flame. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jennifer, just a little more than a week ago, denied that she was dating Casper Smart again. She commented that she’s “single right now.”
