Desiree Hartsock Is Married! ‘Bachelorette’ Star Ties The Knot With Season Pick Chris Siegfried

Desiree Hartsock is a married woman! The former Bachelorette tied the knot this weekend with her season pick, Chris Siegfried. According to Us Weekly, the couple wed in Palos Verdes, California, on Sunday after getting engaged in 2013. And while the two didn’t get a huge offer from ABC to have their nuptials filmed for a television special like a few other couples before them, they did ink a deal with Us Weekly, as the magazine will have exclusive photos from the couple’s big day in their next issue, which will be available on January 21.

As far as details from the wedding, E! News has shared some tidbits. For starters, everyone wants to know what Des wore. As a bridal designer, everyone expected her gown to be perfect, and it sounds like she nailed it.

“[She] wore a one-shoulder lace dress by Maggie Sottero with a sheer overlay at the neckline. In the back was a long train that automatically turned heads.”

Desiree Hartsock wore her hair down in waves and parted on one side. She wore a clip behind one ear, and a long veil was attached in the back. The site didn’t give any details about the groom’s attire, but it is safe to assume that Chris wore a classic black tuxedo. The ceremony only lasted 15 minutes, but the party went on for much of the night.

“When Chris first saw Des walking down the aisle he was amazed at how beautiful she was. The ceremony was very emotional and sweet. They kept it very short and they walked out holding hands and kissing,” shared a source.

Des and Chris are only the third Bachelorette couple to marry. Of course, the very first Bachelorette, Trista Rehn, found true love on the show. She married her season pick, Ryan Sutter, in 2003. The couple has two children together, and are still happily married. Next, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum got married in 2012. Their televised wedding was easily one of the best that ABC has ever featured. The couple just welcomed their first child together. Fordham Rhys Rosenbaum is 15-weeks-old.

As for where Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried might honeymoon, the couple said that it will be somewhere tropical. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the two hadn’t picked an exact location as of November, but were leaning towards Fiji or Hawaii.

It is believed that Des and Chris will head to paradise some time this week.
