Kate Gosselin Has ‘No Relationship’ With Ex Jon, Says Only ‘Some Kids’ Visit With Their Dad
Kate Gosselin recently opened up about her relationship with her ex, Jon Gosselin, and said that the two don’t have any kind of relationship anymore. According to Us Weekly, the reality star said that she tries to keep Jon involved in his kids’ lives, but it hasn’t been easy.
“I don’t have [a relationship with Jon anymore]. I give the kids… some of the kids visit and some don’t and I keep the peace. That’s what I’ve always done. It’s best for the kids,” Kate explained. “I wish that things were better for the kids. It’s very clear by now that I’m just trying to preserve what relationship he has with them. I do think it’s best for them, but, you know, divorce is hard, period. But it’s really difficult when one parent is in the sabotaging mode. That’s been difficult,” Kate added.
Kate Gosselin has eight kids with her ex, which sort of complicates things even more. Obviously her children are going to know who their dad is, but they are all getting old enough to figure out whether or not they want to be around him. Kate feels as though she has done her best to ensure that her kids get to see their dad, although there have been some reports to the contrary. Some feel as though Kate has tried to keep her kids away from Jon, but at this point they are old enough to know what’s going on.
As far as moving on from Jon, and having another boyfriend in her life, Kate says that’s not the easiest thing in the world either.
“I would love to date, but I don’t have time to date. I don’t know that I really have time to think about [what I want in a man]. Our obvious issue [is] we’re a family people have heard of. It’s that publicity piece. There’s eight kids [and] it’s really loud and stressful in my house. I mean, anybody that can kind of work through all that, you know, that’s a lot of gates there they gotta get through.”
According to People Magazine, Kate’s brood are ready for her to meet someone — and to get married again. It is something that is possible, even if it’s not as easy as going out, and finding someone you click with.
“My kids say it constantly. Leah says, ‘We need someone besides you to look up to.’ They long for it,” Kate said recently.
Meanwhile Kate Gosselin was lucky enough to score a gig on The Celebrity Apprentice, and a new season of Kate Plus 8 just started last week on TLC. She seems to be able to get work in the television industry without issue. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jon Gosselin is currently working as a DJ.
