On Saturday night, the Detroit Red Wings will go head to head against the Nashville Predators.

The highly-anticipated hockey game is being played at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan, and will start at 7 p.m. (Eastern Time). Fans of the Detroit Red Wings and Nashville Predators will be able to watch the full game online thanks to streaming video links that have been posted online.

For instance, NHL Stream will be broadcasting the game on five different channels. According to the website, the game will start streaming 15 minutes before kick-off. Therefore, hockey fans can at least bookmark the link as soon as possible and head directly to the website at 6:45 p.m. to make sure that they do not miss anything.

Even though it is sad news for the Predators, the Detroit Red Wings are likely pleased that they will not have to worry about facing goaltender Pekka Rinne during Saturday’s game. According to the Detroit Free Press, the Nashville Predators officially announced Rinne’s injury on Thursday. After suffering a strained knee on Tuesday, the Predators’ MVP candidate is actually going to miss NHL All-Star Weekend as well.

This is good news for the Detroit Red Wings (and fans) because they are still missing quite a few players from their roster due to injury as well. MLive reports that the team does not expect any of their injured players to get back on the ice in time for the upcoming All-Star Weekend either.

Tomas Jurco has been taking prescribed medication for his lower back pain since he saw a back specialist. Jonas Gustavsson was able to start practicing again after dislocating his left shoulder back in November. Johan Franzen has been keeping up with his off-ice workouts, but has yet to return to the ice since being struck with a blindside hit against Edmonton earlier this month. Jimmy Howard has not fully recovered from his slightly torn groin muscle, but is also keeping up with an off-ice workout schedule.

After Saturday’s game, the Red Wings are only scheduled to play the Predators in one more game this season — February 28.
