Update: Hours later, the said Instagram is now showing as normal at Bieber's account. The Inquisitr has reached out to Instagram for an explanation.
Too much junk? Instagram appears to have removed Justin Bieber's much talked-about shirtless picture with added bulge, for reasons which may involve breaching the photo-sharing site's policy on decency.
It's also speculated the pic was removed after complaints.
The 20-year-old singer posted a shirtless selfie to his Instagram account on Wednesday, alongside a caption which he changed twice.
The first read, "Photoshop my a**." Shortly after, Justin changed it to "Photoshop lol."
Both comments refer to rumors that the singer's recently revealed Calvin Klein ads were photoshopped. The Biebs and the fashion brand deny that they were, and a retraction by a website claiming otherwise suggests nothing beyond standard airbrushing was applied to the CK images.
Addressing those claims in typically Bieber-esque fashion, the heartthrob posted a ripped photo of his six-pack, while covering his lower half with a white towel "bunched" around his package.
While nothing can be seen of the Canadian's bulge, it seems the outline alone was quite enough to alarm Instagram HQ.
The upload has now been removed, leaving just a grey space where Justin's body and bulge once were.
It's quite the endorsement, given the "This is all real folks" point Bieber was making about the Photoshopping rumors.
It's also a first for Bieber. None of his countless shirtless selfies have ever been removed by Instagram, or any of the nearly nude pics he previously posted.
Last April, Instagram famously told Bajan songstress Rihanna to delete the various topless and nude photos she posted to the site from her Lui magazine photo shoot. After she was suspended by the site, RiRi left Instagram in protest, returning in November 2014.
Meanwhile, the Biebs was spotted dining with on-off girlfriend, Selena Gomez, at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Thursday night.
The pair -- who have not been seen together since splitting last September, in between a vacation in the Caribbean and a Paris Fashion Week visit --- have been seen before at the upscale establishment on dates over the years.
It remains to be seen if the Biebs will repost another shirtless, quasi-revealing Instagram.
Watch that space...
