Ludacris To Launch His Own Chicken And Beer Restaurant

Ludacris is joining the long line of celebrity owned and endorsed restaurants, announcing on Wednesday that he will jump into the game with a restaurant in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Celebrating the decision Ludacris tweeted:

“Chicken and beer coming soon!”

This isn’t the first time Ludacris has jumped into the beverage part of the business, he’s also the co-owner of Conjure Cognac.

Ludacris is also the proud owner of SOUL By Ludacris, a line of headphones for audiophiles.

It’s still unclear what the restaurant will offer other than chicken and beer but for many travelers in Atlanta that will probably be enough, myself included the next time I’m traveling through American’s busiest hub.

One thing is for certain the music industry isn’t hurting for restaurant owners, Jon Bon Jovi recently opened his ‘pay what you can” joint in Red Bank, New Jersey and the Walhberg brothers (Donnie and Mark) recently announced Wahlburgers (can you guess what they will specialize it?). In a more reserved move Smashing Pumpkins mastermind Billy Corgan recently announced a tea house in his Chicago hometown.

Ludacris isn’t just an entrepreneur at heart he’s also a big supporter of the community, recently partnering with Dosomething.org and Better World Books in the hopes of restocking library shelves in New Orleans, shelves that have remained empty years after Katrina struck.

Do you plan on stopping into the new Ludacris restaurant when it opens in Atlanta? If not you can still support him when his album Ludaversal drops sometime in 2012.
