Rosie Perez Leaving 'The View'? Rosie O'Donnell Denies As Naya Rivera Creates New Watergate [Video]

Despite rumors that Rosie Perez is leaving The View, everything's rosy at the show, declared co-host Rosie O'Donnell. She challenged reports that Perez would not return to the talk show after her January sabbatical for a play, reported E News.

"No matter what you read anywhere, Rosie Perez is also coming back after she is done rehearsing her play. Her play, the new Larry David play that she is starring in, opens soon and then she will be back here at her job," said O'Donnell Jan. 15.

Meanwhile, Glee star Naya Rivera succeeded in garnering attention by creating a new Watergate scandal of sorts. The bathing brouhaha brewed up when Naya showered The View co-hosts with a discourse on why she feels showering is a "white people thing," reported Us Weekly.

"I have to say I have a theory about showering, [which] is that I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnics," said the 28-year-old actress. "I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing."

Social media immediately reacted. Some Twitter commentaries attacked Naya directly.
When YOU tell the world YOU shower every 3 days that says more about YOU not us Naya Rivera. Some things are better left unsaid.
Rumors that Rosie Perez was leaving the show originated with a report from Variety via MSN.

While Perez is supposedly only temporarily away in order to star in a Broadway play, Fish in the Dark, The View producers currently are experimenting with alternative co-hosts warming up Perez's seat, among them Naya. The key to success for the show relies on the chemistry among the co-hosts, with the current situation shown below.

However, The View producers currently are not commenting about Perez as they continue to experiment with co-hosts such as Naya. She's been successful in garnering attention on her own, and some are comparing her to Kim Kardashian, reported The Gloss.

They're both fond of fashion, sharing their cleavage via low-cut gowns. In addition, both Kardashian and Naya are devoted to derriere selfies.

Despite those similarities, Kim still reigns when it comes to fame. From starring in Keeping Up With the Kardashians to sharing her fashion sensibilities with daughter North West, Kardashian doesn't hesitate to keep her public profile high, as the Inquisitr reported.

What do you think? If Naya is chosen as a co-host for The View, would you watch, and can she become as famous as Kim Kardashian in her own right? Post your comments below.
