Norman Reedus is probably getting pretty tired of talking about Daryl Dixon's love life, but the Walking Dead star continues to dutifully answer questions about how his loyal redneck character feels about the ladies.
On the bright side of things, now Norman Reedus only has to answer questions about one woman. With Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) out of the picture, it seems inevitable that Daryl Dixon will hook up with Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). Carol and Daryl might not share the same taste in art, but they do seem to have a very special bond that would be hard for either of them to replicate with other people.
When TV Guide asked Norman Reedus about the possibility of a future Caryl romance on The Walking Dead, first he gave the standard "never say never" response. However, he added a little something extra about Daryl Dixon being confused about how he feels.
"I think if he felt those feelings before, he didn't quite understand what those feelings were. But I think there was a part of him that was open to that."
It's interesting that Reedus spoke in the past tense when addressing whether Daryl was open to a romantic relationship with Carol -- is he hinting that something will happen that will keep Caryl from becoming a couple in the future? Maybe Daryl Dixon will swear off love after witnessing what happened to Beth, or maybe Carol will get killed off before he can recover enough from Beth's death to open himself up to the possibility of being in a loving relationship.
Executive producer Scott M. Gimple told TV Guide that Daryl Dixon will definitely be going through some stuff (and thangs) when The Walking Dead returns.
"He's full of grief at this moment and he'll probably shut down a bit... There'll be grieving and there'll be anger and there'll be outbursts. He's ready to just ambush things and just attack."
Life is pretty much a living nightmare for Norman Reedus' Walking Dead character, but the actor's real life is anything but. According to the Daily News, he was spotted having an amazing time with rocker Courtney Love at the New York strip club Sapphire on Sunday night. Courtney and Norman arrived at the joint's weekly SINS party together, and Love reportedly made it rain in a very big way. The Daily News speculates that she threw so much money on the stage because she used to work as a topless dancer.
"Norman and Courtney were supercool and having a great time," a source revealed.
Reedus reportedly had "had every girl gushing, staff and guests alike — especially the model girls at the front of the stage."
This isn't the first time Norman Reedus has hung out with Courtney Love. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Walking Dead star and the Hole front woman posed for a photo with One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson at a Saturday Night Live after party last month. Reedus and Love likely became pals years ago while working together on the 2000 movie Beat.
What do you think of Norman Reedus' comments about Caryl and his friendship with Courtney Love? Should he try to get her a guest-starring role on The Walking Dead?
