Nancy Grace Takes On 2 Chainz In Marijuana Debate

Nancy Grace has continued her ongoing quest against marijuana legalization by inviting rapper 2 Chainz on her show to debate on Tuesday night. Raw Story shares the interesting details surrounding the debate, going as far as to claim that the rapper schooled the notorious HLN show host. That’s not too much of an assumption to make since the rapper is a college graduate. He has a degree in psychology and has attended three different colleges, maintaining a 4.0 average throughout his time in school. He’s also an advocate for the legalization of marijuana — the polar opposite of Grace.

The episode of the program was titled #Pot2blame? as Nancy tends to make great use of hashtags in her show on HLN. She opened her debate with 2 Chainz by complementing his 4.0 grade average through college and his high intelligence, but quickly turned it into a comment targeting him for his support of marijuana, seemingly curious that such an educated person could support the legalization of cannabis for medicinal and recreational use. MTV News reports that 2 Chainz presented sensible arguments against Nancy Grace’s continual attempts at pigeonholing all stoners as irresponsible people. She even attempted to show a few viral video clips of children either smoking marijuana or being around the use of marijuana, to which she was given a measured response from the rapper.

“It’s the same thing we talked about earlier, darling. With the legalization of alcohol, you will find some footage like this but everybody is not doing this. Some people actually love their child. Some people know that it’s obviously wrong. So, this is nothing to really argue about. These people are obviously imbeciles. You can’t use this case to define an entire community.”

The online response to Tuesday’s debate could be seen as the segment aired live, with tweets using Nancy’s chosen hashtag to air their opinions. It appears that even her viewers agreed with 2 Chainz.
