Urban Meyer, Ohio State coach, has made a promise to get a tattoo. After the game in the Sugar Bowl, where his team defeated Alabama in order to advance to the College Football Playoff national championship game, Meyer gathered his players after the game and made a big promise.

Urban Meyer said that he will get a tattoo if his boys beat Oregon for the national title.

“He promised us after we beat ‘Bama in the locker room that if we won the next one, he’d get a tattoo,” Jeff Heuerman said to the press.

After big victory against Oregon Ducks (42-20) for the national championship, it looks like Coach Meyer will have to deliver on his promise and get a tattoo. This is his third overall national championship — he won two titles with Florida and one with Ohio State, his first with the team.

“I’ll supervise it. Trust me. I’m going to be right next to him,” Heuerman said, adding the following remarks.

Meyer hasn’t said where he is going to get a tattoo, but there are some indications about potential design. It could be logo of Ohio State, to honor the National Title victory.

“I’ll be here bugging him about it until he gets it,” said Joey Bosa, who plays defensive end.

He also said that he will go with Meyer to the tattoo studio and that he already has his Block O tattoo.

With the latest victory, the Ohio State has eight national championships in their 125 seasons played. In the final game, the Buckeyes had astonishing performance and broke their record with 42-20 victory over the Oregon in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game at AT&T Stadium. Urban Meyer stated the following.

“You have to give credit and testimony, and I will say this, we spent an inordinate amount of time on leadership training. (In) Corporate America, you do your homework, which we did. Corporations are spending millions of dollars on corporate leadership.”

Cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs said that “everybody is waiting” for the coach to keep his promise.

“We have core values, and honesty is one of them, so he better not be lying,” Joey Bosa said.

Players are having high expectations from their coach. But will Urban Meyer deliver on his promise?
