WWE News: Potential Spoiler On The WWE Championship Match At The Royal Rumble

WWE’s second-most popular pay-per-view is less than two weeks away and the WWE is putting together a card to remember. It is headlined by the Royal Rumble match, which is always a spectacle to see. After that, John Cena will take on Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight championship.

Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt are expected to do battle for one final time, but the WWE hasn’t confirmed that match at this time. Nikki Bella will certainly defend her WWE Diva’s championship at the Royal Rumble, which will leave Natalya, Paige or Naomi as potential combatants.

Aside from that, Roman Reigns and the Big Show might have another night of fisticuffs, but the WWE hasn’t alluded to that match yet. Like last year, the Royal Rumble will expect to deliver. Batista winning the Rumble match created a lot of turmoil, but this is a new year with a number of possibilities.

Since the WWE added Seth Rollins to the WWE World Heavyweight championship match, rumors continue to fly as to who will win. According to PWInsider.com, John Cena might walk out with the WWE World Heavyweight championship at the Royal Rumble.

“Local advertising released this week for a 3/8 WWE house show in Allentown, PA lists John Cena as the WWE World champion. Whether that proves to be the case or not by 3/8, we’ll certainly know in a few weeks, but it’s certainly interesting to note.”

For those that are curious about the report, here is a local advertisement for that date in Allentown, PA. It doesn’t specifically say that John Cena is the WWE World Heavyweight champion, but another advertisement does have him as the champion.

Adding Rollins puts a new twist to the match that seemed all too obvious beforehand. A rumor that still runs through the WWE Universe has Brock Lesnar losing the WWE World Heavyweight championship at WrestleMania 31 to the hands of Roman Reigns. Therefore, it became too predictable to not have Lesnar prevail at the Royal Rumble.

Rollins is the Money in the Bank winner, so he legitimately has two chances at the WWE World Heavyweight belt. The WWE fans desperately want unpredictable outcomes. Many are tired of the predictable finishes that don’t excite the audiences that used to be die-hard fans. Even if Reigns wins the Royal Rumble match, the WWE World Heavyweight title match has the potential to steal the show.
