Nina Dobrev Has Awkward Run-In With Ian Somerhalder, Nikki Reed At Golden Globes

Nina Dobrev just can’t escape ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder. Not only does Nina have to see Ian at work on the set of The Vampire Diaries, but she also had an awkward run-in with him and his new girlfriend, Nikki Reed, at a Golden Globes after party on Sunday night.

Hollywood Life reports that Nina Dobrev was having a great time partying after the Golden Globes when she ran into Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed at one of the hot post-award show after parties.

According to the report, Nina and Ian didn’t really acknowledge each other, and actually spent a good amount of their time trying to avoid one another at the party, which is sad since they were once very close friends.

It seems that the feud between the two, previously reported by the Inquisitr, is still very much alive, although there have been some rumors that the Vampire Diaries co-stars’ hatred for each other has cooled, there is still obviously some very bad blood between them.

Also at the party was Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder’s other co-star, Chris Woods, who has been rumored to be romancing Nina. So, it seems like the party was very awkward for all parties involved.

Meanwhile, The Vampire Diaries fans got some big news this week. Not only was the show renewed for Season 7 after fears that Nina and Ian’s feud could be ending the series, but one of the main characters has been confirmed to be leaving the show.

Julie Plec, creator of the series, has confirmed that Steven R. McQueen, who plays Jeremy Gilbert on the show, will be leaving as a series regular when the show returns from hiatus.

“We’re saying goodbye to Steven McQueen, as a series regular, in the 14th episode. I was there when we were shooting his last scene and, spoiler alert, it’s not a death scene because that would just be too mean.”

“I got really nostalgic and really emotional about it because I said to Ian [Somerhalder], every episode and every character goodbye that we do now feels like we’re just one goodbye closer to the end,” she continued. “I’m sure there’s somebody out there that wants the show to go 20 seasons, but it won’t. It will go eight, it’ll go seven, it’ll go nine, whatever, but we’ve done six so we’re in the third act of our story so everything is leading us toward the end. Every goodbye actually hurts a bit. I’ve become so close to these people. You don’t spend that much time with people and not fall in love with them.”

It looks like there are a lot of changes going on in Nina Dobrev’s career and life at the moment.
