Catherine Zeta Jones is the salsa emoji. At Sunday night’s Golden Globe awards, the actress walked the red carpet in a red gown, and allowed her long brunette locks to fall down her back. According to News Australia, many people likened Zeta-Jones’ look to the salsa emoji that many people have on their smart phones. The red dress and the brown hair was enough to draw comparisons, and it didn’t take long for social media to pick up on it.

According to Just Jared, someone created a photo that made perfect sense to so many people.

“The 45-year-old actress’ arm was photoshopped to face upwards just like the dancer in the emoji,” reports Just Jared.

Catherine Zeta Jones as the salsa emoji has gone viral today, and several people have been tweeting about her dress and how much she did resemble the symbol, which many people will never look at the same after making the connection. Of course, Zeta-Jones’ dress was a bit different, but that doesn’t make the comparisons any less obvious.

According to Mashable, the world now knows where the actress has been hiding… inside phones around the world. Everyone seems to be having fun with the idea today, and photos are still being passed around on social media. Interestingly enough, the actress didn’t find herself on any worst-dressed lists. She seems to always keep it classy, and last night was no different. Her gown was elegant, and she looked lovely per usual.

Catherine Zeta Jones’s salsa emoji comparison is the first time that she has been in the news in months. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, she and husband Michael Douglas listed one of their properties for sale back in August, sparking split rumors once more.

“The speculation centers around the reasoning for them selling this property at all. Those arguing that there is no basis for the conjecturing say that this can be taken as a positive sign that she’s willing to let go of her past, and move on,” reported the Inquisitr.

However, the two have not filed for divorce, and no one really knows the current status of their relationship. As far as the public knows, the two worked through their issues since announcing their separation back in the summer of 2013.
