Flower Girl, Ring Bearer Get Married 20 Years After Taking Part In Wedding Together

A flower girl and a ring bearer walk into a church…

While this might sound like the start of a bad joke, it actually turned out to be a pretty amazing love story. According to Fox News, Brittney Husbyn and Briggs Fussy were in a wedding together 20 years ago as a flower girl and a ring bearer respectively. The duo recently took part in another wedding, this time as husband and wife, and their story is going viral.

Years after the two were in that wedding together, they met in college. Not really knowing each other, Brittney recognized Briggs from a picture she had hanging in her home. One day during class, she turned to him, and said something fairly bizarre.

“I think I was in a wedding with you like fifteen years ago or something? Isn’t that crazy? Let’s get married,” she said in so many words. According to Cosmopolitan, the two ended up going on a first date shortly after that, and five years later, they tied the knot.

The flower girl and the ring bearer’s story was picked up by several news stations around the country. According to My Fox 9, Brittney and Briggs really do believe in fate, and they are happy to have this story to share with the world.

“It was funny, the first time I ever went over to his house his mom whipped a picture off her wall and said ‘I’ve had a picture of you up in my house forever.’ It’s fun to have something special like that to look back on,” Brittney said. As for a flower girl and ring bearer from the couple’s wedding carrying on the tradition, Brittney says that won’t happen. Why? Because the two are cousins.

Viral love stories are almost always fun to read about. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a flash mob at a wedding at the Mall of Georgia won the hearts of several internet readers just last month. The bride thought that she and her groom were just going to take some wedding photos, but she got the surprise of a lifetime when she turned a corner.

“The video was filmed with hidden cameras… Christina walks around with the photographer toward a giant Christmas tree in the center of the Mall of Georgia complex. The photographer told McGinnis that he preferred taking photos on the other side of the Christmas tree, where Christina’s father was waiting. Meanwhile, a mob family and friends comes out of hiding and formed for the wedding,” reported the Inquisitr. The video was uploaded to YouTube and has been viewed over 2 million times.
