Chris Brown Concert Shooting: Five Injured Inside A San Jose Nightclub [Video]

Chris Brown escaped yet another shooting during one of his concerts, one that injured five individuals.

According to TMZ, Chris Brown was performing at a San Jose nightclub, when shots rang out in the crowd early Sunday morning. Shots were heard around 1:20 a.m., and as of this reporting, at least five individuals were wounded.

Us Weekly reported that Chris Brown was singing his hit song “Loyal” when he acknowledged some audience members fighting somewhere in the nightclub.

“Aw, them n****s gettin’ hit over there!” he shouted into the mic with a smile on his face.

That smile didn’t last long though. In a Vine video that has since been posted of the events, a few seconds after Chris Brown acknowledges the scuffle in the crowd, gunshots can be heard in the background. Brown was quickly escorted off stage and was unharmed.

Four of the gunshot victims were taken to area hospitals following the incident, and the fifth victim left the scene only to show up at the ER later on. All five victims were reportedly treated, and all are expected to survive, according to ABC News.

This isn’t the first time that gunshots rang out into the crowd during one of Chris Brown’s performances. According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, shots rang out at 10ak in Los Angeles this past August, where Chris Brown was hosting a pre-VMAs party.

According to the report, it was first believed that Chris Brown had been the target of the attack because the singer appeared to be involved in an altercation with someone at the time. Three people were shot during this incident, including famed producer Suge Knight, who was shot six times.

The Monday after the shooting, Suge Knight’s family released an update on Knight’s recovery following surgery.

“The family of Suge Knight asks that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media. Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood; he’s human. He’s done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that.”

In the August shooting, police believed that Suge Knight was the target, not Chris Brown. As for the recent shooting, police say they are still investigating the situation.

TMZ reported that several people were detained in Sunday’s shooting, but it is unclear if anyone has been arrested at this point in time.
