Ellen DeGeneres Enjoys Fun And Flirty Night With Portia De Rossi At People’s Choice Awards

Despite all the rumors which have surrounded Ellen DeGeneres and her wife of more than six years, Portia de Rossi, over the past year, there wasn’t a sniff of arguments, cheating allegations or excessive drinking, when the couple enjoyed a fun and flirty date night at the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday.

As reported by Yahoo! Celebrity on Thursday, it’s just as well they weren’t handing out an award for the “Most Fun and Affectionate Real-Life Couple,” as Ellen and Portia would definitely have won it as they displayed lots of open affection to each other while at the event.

Both Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi reportedly appeared to be in high spirits for the event, as they rocked up to the red carpet and posed for pictures, all smiles.

At one point, Ellen crouched down to the side and swept her arm out as if to proudly showcase her wife Portia, who blushed ever so slightly at all the attention she received.

On top of that, the red carpet photo op lasted for longer than one would expect. As well as posing for the standard smiles poses hand-in-hand, the couple also flipped around for some more flirty, sexy over-the-shoulder glamour poses.

For most of the event, Ellen and Portia were seen holding hands, fingered intertwined, making one vaguely recall some pretty nasty rumors, which circulated for the best part of 2014.

As a result of the numerous rumors, Ellen DeGeneres often used her talk show as a platform to defend herself and Portia. She said back in 2014, about a tabloid headline,

“Did you see [the tabloid headline] says, ‘They’re finally starting a family’? Are people really that mad at us? They want us to have a baby… But we’re not having a baby. Or are we? We’re not.”

Last year, in an interview with People Magazine, Ellen gushed a lot about her wife, without a hint of animosity for her, as she said at the time, “I love her so much it kills me,” adding, “The truth is, and this is corny, I fall more in love with Portia all the time. I really do. She surprises me all the time. It’s what anyone experiences when you find that person that gets you, wants to take care of you, wants the best for you. We’re really lucky because we know how rare it is.”
