Girl Snatched From Bedroom: Man Grabs 3-Year-Old Girl Through Window In Frightening Kidnapping Attempt

A girl snatched from her bedroom window was left unharmed in Santa Clarita. According to CBS News, a suspect approached a home in the area on Thursday night, reached through a window, and grabbed a 3-year-old girl. Thankfully, however, the girl’s family members were able to chase the suspect down and get the child back without anyone getting injured.

“A Los Angeles County sheriff’s statement says deputies arrived at the scene in Santa Clarita on Thursday night, set up a perimeter and arrested the suspect without incident,” reports CBS News.

The man reportedly said that he was trying to “return the child,” but it’s unclear what that even means. Authorities say that the suspect did not know the child or the family.

The girl snatched from her bedroom was ultimately saved, when her father and her uncle attacked the suspect in the street. According to Mail Online, details about the child and the suspect are being kept private at this time. The suspect was arrested on potential kidnapping charges. It is presumed that formal charges will be brought against the suspect once police conclude their investigation, which is said to be “ongoing” at this time.

“A male adult allegedly grabbed ahold of a 3-year-old female by reaching through a bedroom window at the female’s residence,” said the LAPD in a statement.

“He leaned in the window and then told her to come toward him,” said the child’s aunt.

“I actually… ran behind him. I think he heard my footsteps and then he turned around quickly and asked me if this was my daughter,” said the girl’s uncle.

The girl was snatched from her bedroom around 7 p.m. local time, and everyone was awake inside the home. As soon as they heard noises, they ran to check on the little one, and then some of them ran outside. Fortunately, they were able to keep the suspect in check until police arrived.

Evidently claiming that a person “found” a child, and was just “looking” for his or her parents is a thing in the kidnapping world. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a 23-year-old woman in Texas tried something similar last week. Brianah Blount was arrested for kidnapping a 7-year-old boy and his 4-year-old sister at a thrift store in Dallas County. She allegedly told police that the kids “followed her,” and that she was just trying to get them to authorities.
