‘Batman V Superman’ To Be Split Into Two Movies?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is allegedly going to be split into two movies, according to new reports.

The upcoming adaptation of two of DC Comic’s most iconic characters is currently due to hit cinemas in March 2016.

Comic Book reported that new leaked images prove that the first installment to Batman v Superman, which will allegedly be entitled Part I: Enter the Knight, will hit cinemas on October 23, 2015.

This will then be followed by Batman v Superman Part 2: Dawn of Justice, which will arrive on March 25, 2016. However, before you go off and celebrate this alleged new release date for the hugely anticipated blockbuster, it should be noted that Comic Book doesn’t have a source, and they state that it has just appeared on the world wide web.

You can check about the alleged unveiling of Batman v Superman’s new release dates below.

The lack of a source for this picture means that this revelation should be taken with a huge pinch of salt. It could have been created and then shot across the world wide web by anyone with a computer.

It wouldn’t be the biggest shock in the world if Batman v Superman was actually split into two films. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice started filming in Detroit in May 2014, before it eventually wrapped after seven months of shooting in December 2014.

That means that Batman v Superman has 10 months to edit this massive amount of footage into Enter the Knight before its alleged October 23, 2015 release date.

The shock of this new release date would also help to whip up anticipation ahead of it hitting the multiplexes. Especially if, as it sounds, the film would revolve around the introduction of Ben Affleck’s Batman to DC’s cinematic universe.

It would also be the perfect precursor to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is still set to be released on March 25, 2016 and will see Henry Cavill’s Superman — who had his own origin story with 2013’s Man Of Steel — go toe-to-toe with Affleck’s Batman, while Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor will also be mulling around too.

However, at the moment, it’s probably safe to say that this is well and truly just a rumor, and it’s still likely that Batman v Superman will only be released in one installment, Dawn Of Justice, and it will hit cinemas at the end of March 2016.

The first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is expected to be attached with Jupiter Ascending, which is released on February 6.
