Andi Dorfman Breakup: Josh Murray Posts Cryptic Instagram Message Regarding ‘Bachelorette’ Split

Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray seemed to Bachelorette fans to be an exception to the rule, one of the few couples to emerge from the reality television dating show who would actually make it.

But that all came crashing down this week, when the couple shocked fans and announced that they were breaking up. Though they elaborated little about the reason for the split, Josh Murray may have shed some light on it with a cryptic message he posted to Instagram on Thursday, and then quickly deleted.

Murray posted a picture of a man kneeling and raising on arm to the sky. Underneath was the caption, “Lord, help me to have faith in your plan.”

While Murray did not add anything more about his breakup with Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, the post seemed to strongly indicate that he was devastated over the relationship ending.

Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray had faced breakup rumors since almost the moment they officially became a couple at the end of The Bachelorette. The revelation that Andi and finalist Nick Viall slept together on their fantasy suite date, just hours before Andi would pick Josh, led to rampant speculation that the couple was treading water and destined to break up.

In September, Celeb Dirty Laundry claimed that the stress of planning a televised wedding ceremony was also wearing on the couple.

“Nothing is going the way Andi planned right now. She is supposed to be planning her wedding with Bachelor producers but everything is on hold because she and Josh are taking a break,” a source claimed. “She quit her job and hired a manager, and the appearances aren’t rolling in like she thought they would. And, to top it off she has to wake up every day and wonder ‘Is Josh going to leave me today.'”

But Andi Dorfman continued to deny the breakup rumors, making this week’s announcement all the more shocking.

“After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it’s best for both of us to go our separate ways,” the couple said in a joint statement to Us Weekly on Thursday. “We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what’s best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best.”

Part of the shocking nature of the announcement came from the couple’s secrecy. Josh Murray appeared at the January 5 premiere of Season 19 of The Bachelorette, talking about wedding planning with Andi Dorfman.
