Paris Hilton proves that you sometimes have to go big in order to go small. TMZ reports that the socialite just dropped $25,000 on a pair of tiny Pomeranian puppies. Hilton kept one puppy for herself, aged three months old and weighing in at a ridiculously tiny six ounces. Paris presented the second one, a six-month-old Pomeranian pup that is twice the size (but still so very tiny!) at twelve ounces, to her mother Kathy Hilton as a 35th anniversary gift.
This just comes just a few months after Paris Hilton dropped an astounding $13,000 on another Pomeranian puppy last September, bringing the total amount of dog dollars spent to a whopping $40,0000…all for an estimated two pounds worth of puppy. The first puppy, whom Paris named Prince Hilton, is said to be the world’s smallest Pomeranian, weighing in at 11.6 ounces and standing at just two-and-a-half inches.
Paris purchased all three pooches from Betty’s Tea Cup Yorkies, where, according to the company’s website, they “pride ourselves on having the most gorgeous tiny baby exquisite quality tinies around. With Posh faces, exquisite type, amazing personalities and stellar health.” And “posh” does seem to be the right word, with puppies starting in a price range of over $4,000. There is at least one so-called “micro-pup” named Miss Platinum Miracle, pictured below, listed for sale with a $13,000 price tag. She’s being hailed as the world’s smallest Maltese, weighing in at only five ounces at three months of age. The breeder estimates she will weigh no more than two pounds fully grown.
Paris Hilton is quite the dog lover as her newest puppy will bring the Hilton kennel up to a total of eight members, including the aforementioned Prince Hilton and a chihuahua named Peter Pan. Hilton’s new puppy is a female and has yet to be named, but Hilton is referring to the tiny Pomeranian as Prince Hilton’s girlfriend and admits she is just obsessed with her.
It’s long been said that a dog is a man’s — or a woman’s — best friend, and now Paris has eight of them.
Surprisingly, Paris Hilton’s pricey Pomeranian puppies are not even close to being the most expensive dogs in the world. That particular title goes to a Tibetan mastiff puppy that was sold in China for an astounding $2 million. Tibetan mastiff dogs are huge, furry, bear-like dogs who are said to have “lion’s blood” and have become a status symbol in China because of their extremely hefty price-tags.
