‘Batman V Superman’ Teaser Trailer Attached To ‘Jupiter Ascending’ Will Debut Next Month [Report]

The much talked about Batman v Superman teaser trailer is rumored to be attached to Jupiter Ascending which debuts in theaters on February 6.

The mega blockbuster will see Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) will face off for the first time on the silver screen. Director Zack Snyder’s movie does not come to theaters until over a year from now, March 25, 2016.

There has been much talk and speculations as to when we will actually get to see Batman v Superman teaser trailer. First it was reportedly attached to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, but that didn’t came to pass.

Now the rumors are that it will finally come with Jupiter Ascending, but there is no official confirmation of that either. Apparently we just have to wait.

In the meantime the Batman v Superman teaser trailer shown at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con has resurfaced online. Remember, Warner Bros. said this clip was for the eyes of those in the hall only and would not be released to the general public, ever.

This teaser trailer shows Batman and Superman in their first face to face encounter on a dark, rainy night in Gotham City. Batman shines his Bat reflector light and we see the Man of Steel descending upon the scene.

At the same time there are reports that the famed special effects studio, WETA — responsible for the amazing effects on The Hobbit trilogy — is working on an epic sequence that will see the two superheroes battle it out. WETA Digital’s senior visual effects supervisor Joe Letteri shared some spoilers with Collider recently.

“The sequence that we’re doing is sort of self-contained, and I don’t think you would’ve seen any of that yet. I can’t really give any away, but it is a standalone sequence and I think you’ll be able to pick it out when you do see it.”

We probably won’t see any of it in the Batman v Superman teaser trailer, but from what Letteri promises it should be truly something to behold. It will feature a memorable scene like the “Krypton sequence” from the movie’s prequel, Man of Steel.

This particular sequence is not the one those present at Comic Con saw when Warner Bros. showed them the first footage in the Batman v Superman teaser trailer. Whether we will see something totally different when the clip is finally released remains to be seen. Stay tuned.
