Jennifer Lawrence Or Gwyneth Paltrow: Coldplay’s Chris Martin Can’t Decide

Chris Martin has a relationship dilemma on his hands: beautiful bombshell Jennifer Lawrence, or beautiful bombshell Gwyneth Paltrow. And apparently, the Coldplay front man can’t decide.

According to the Independent, Chris allegedly feels caught between Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lawrence.

“Chris is keeping his options open. It’s all very complicated,” an insider said.

The reason it’s complicated dates back to the highly publicized “conscious uncoupling” that took place between the 37-year-old Martin and wife Gwyneth Paltrow back in March of 2014. The pair still remained close friends, even up to the point that he became linked to 24-year-old Jennifer Lawrence. The couple dated on-and-off last year, but they are said to have split due to his close bond with Gwyneth, 42.

That was up until this past week when, as reported by Inquistr, rumors began circulating that Chris and Jennifer were spotted on a sushi date, with many believing their relationship has been rekindled over New Years Eve.

This of course, was in direct contrast to how Martin spent his Christmas, according to British magazine Grazia.

“He had an amazing Christmas with Gwyneth and they enjoyed time together in the Hamptons,” an insider said. “They even went to a party that Jennifer Aniston threw before Christmas together. But he’s also stayed in touch with Jennifer. They get on really well and there is still a spark there. He’s caught between the two of them.”

Lawrence meanwhile is staying mum on everything though she was spotted in New York on Tuesday, after catching a flight from LAX the previous day according to The Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, in a new interview in the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Gwyneth has expressed regret over her split from Martin, further complicating matters.

“Of course, there are times when I think it would have been better if we had stayed married, which is always what your children want,” she said. Paltrow married Martin when the Coldplay singer was only 25 (ironically close to the same age Jennifer Lawrence is now) and blames that as the reason for their split.

“Men are very young at that age, and I was relying on him very heavily and I really expected him to keep being this grown man and pillar of strength – which he was and is – but it’s also quite an unfair set of criteria to give to someone who’s just 25 years old.”

“It’s painful, it’s difficult, it might be easier to say, ‘I never want to see you again,’ but what good does that do anyone?” she continued. “We’ve made a lot of mistakes, and we’ve had good days and bad days, but I have to say, I’m proud of us for working through so much stuff together – and not blaming and shaming.”

Jennifer Lawrence can be seen in the new Hunger Games film, in theaters now.
