Timothy Spall Weight Loss Revealed: ‘Harry Potter’ Actor Slims Down
Timothy Spall’s weight loss has fans talking about the Harry Potter star. Spall attended two events earlier this week, and he even took home an award for his role in Mr. Turner, where he plays the title character. Many think he is a shoe-in for an Oscar nomination for the same role. However, people were talking more about his weight than the award he received.
Spall hit the red carpet at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, and Us Magazine shared a photo of Timothy at the event. The news outlet also shared a before picture of Timothy that revealed the weight he lost. The exact amount of weight the 57-year-old actor lost was not revealed, but the before and after photos definitely show a much thinner Spall.
Spall’s weight loss is getting noticed on social media as well. Fans are happy to see the slimmer Timothy.

According to Yahoo Movies UK, Spall did speak out about his award win for Mr. Turner with reporters after the event, and he was pleased about the acknowledgement.
“We all pretend that awards are not important, but man, when you get one… it’s just really, really f**king lovely.”
Spall has not had it easy in life. Fifteen years ago, doctors diagnosed him with leukemia. After he recovered, he decided to travel the world by boat with his wife.
“I bought the boat after the illness to celebrate being alive, and realize now that the voyage was also a delayed reaction to the leukemia. It was about sticking two fingers up to fate and saying, ‘Right, you tried to kill me once with illness. Now I’m going to tempt you again. But this time, I’ll do it on my terms.’ It was [Shane’s] way of processing what we went through as a couple and as a family, because we had three young children at the time, and the ripple effect on everyone was tremendous.”
Traveling the world has changed a lot in the last 15 years. This was something his wife learned first hand when she was searched quite aggressively by security at the airport. According to Mail Online, his wife, Shane Spall, complained that there were “fingers touching lady places that would be called sexual impropriety in the street.”
