Outrage After McDonald’s Serves Human Tooth With French Fries In Japan!

A McDonald’s customer in Japan was shocked after she was served french fries containing bits of human tooth! Media reports in Japan have slammed the fast food giant after a series of incidents involving contaminated have come to light recently. According to Channel News Asia, the customer was served the contaminated fries at an outlet in Osaka. The fries along with the tooth were apparently deep fried before being served.

McDonald’s on its part has issued an apology to the affected customer and has confirmed that the object found inside the fries was indeed bits from a human tooth after the fast food giant had conducted its own probe. In an interview to Japanese TV channel JNN, the customer who has not been named yet said.

“I received an apology only when the store manager came over. The manager didn’t really talk about how it got in and what action they will take in the future.I have a small child and it terrifies me to think that they could have eaten it and choked,” she said.

According to the Straits Times, the McDonald’s outlet at Osaka has reiterated that none of the employees working there have reported to work with a missing tooth. The company also added that the possibility of the chips being contaminated at the U.S. factory where the chips were originally shipped from is also very low. While there has not been an official corporate level response fro McDonald’s about this issue, the company is likely to hold a press conference later today announcing its stance.

This is not the first time unexpected objects have been recovered from McDonald’s meals. In Japan itself, the company has seen its reputation tarnished after several incidences of food contamination. In the past, there have been reports of Japanese customers discovering a piece of vinyl inside a chicken nugget and more recently a piece of plastic being found in a sundae. Last year, McDonald’s had also stopped importing food from one of its suppliers in China after it was reported that the company was mixing old, out-of-date meat with fresh ones before supplying them to McDonald’s outlets.

In the U.S. too, there have been several instances of such contamination at McDonald’s outlets. Will this bother you the next time you are at McDonald’s for a quick bite?
