Amber Portwood: Her Feelings About Gary Shirley’s Girlfriend’s Pregnancy Revealed
Amber Portwood was released from prison last year, and ever since her release, she has had to deal with a lot of changes. Her life improved, but she was also faced with some unexpected new developments.
While in prison, Amber and her ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley, were not technically together. However, the two did talk, and according to Amber, she had hope that once she was released from prison, the two would rekindle their relationship. The pair made for a cute couple, but their personalities often clashed and not in a good way. In fact, their differences were often shown on Teen Mom, and one episode in particular showed Amber Portwood getting physical with her ex. To say they brought out the worst in each other was an understatement, but Amber seemed hopeful for a reconciliation with the father of her daughter.
After prison, Amber Portwood appeared alongside her Teen Mom co-stars on an MTV special titled Ask the Moms. It was there that Amber revealed her ex has cheated on her while she was behind bars. However, Gary Shirley took to Facebook to deny the accusations made by his ex.
“I told her about my girl 5 days after I officially started dating her. And I told her in front of my girlfriend over the phone cause I didn’t wanna lie! By all means plz continue to lie and sell your book which also lies about me cheating, which I did do 1 time, but was just a kiss and I did it cause I was breaking up w Amber anyways.”
This seems to further prove that Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley don’t exactly get along, so perhaps it is for the best that they didn’t get back together. The two continue to co-parent their daughter, Leah, and Gary currently has full custody. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, little Leah is about to welcome a baby sister into the family as Gary’s girlfriend, Kristina, is pregnant.
When news of the pregnancy broke, many fans wondered how Amber felt about it. She has been dating another man and seems very happy with her life, so it should come as no surprise that she isn’t really concerned with her ex having another child. A source close to the Teen Mom star discussed Amber’s feelings about the situation with Radar Online.
“Amber has known about the pregnancy since August, so she has had time to process everything. Of course she was upset at first, but she has moved on. Amber is still with Matt, and he’s helping her get through this. Gary’s new baby is the last thing she’s thinking about.”
Amber Portwood has been going through so much from readjusting to life outside of prison to dealing with the untimely passing of her father. Most everything she has been through will be featured on the new season of Teen Mom, which is set to air later this month, and the source went on to reveal that Amber’s storyline is going to be intense.
“Her storyline will be really dramatic this year. She has so much going on in her life.”
Amber Portwood will be back for the fifth season of Teen Mom, and Gary Shirley’s new baby is just one of the storylines she will be dealing with.
