’16 & Pregnant’ Season Six Is Coming Soon

16 & Pregnant season six is reportedly underway. Although the girls have not yet been chosen, and production has not yet begun, MTV’s casting call has recently hit the web.

Below is the MTV’s official casting call, according to a January 4 report by Starcasm.

“MTV is Casting Now for a new season of 16 & Pregnant

“MTV is casting for the thought-provoking documentary series 16 and Pregnant. This series follows the journeys of young women as they face unexpected pregnancies and navigate the difficulties of becoming parents at a young age.

“Our goal is to give viewers a look inside the realities of teen pregnancy — from morning sickness and balancing school responsibilities to navigating incredibly difficult decisions and relationships with boyfriends and/or parents, ultimately to the day of the baby’s arrival and beyond. MTV is looking for young women from varying backgrounds who are facing an unplanned pregnancy and would like to share their personal story about this life-changing and complicated journey.

“If you would like to share your story in order to raise awareness about this issue, please email us as soon as possible at 16andPregnantCasting@mtv.com. Include the city and state you live in, your contact details, a picture and the reason why you’d like to share your story as part of 16 & Pregnant.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the series’ sixth season was first rumored at the end of last year. At the same time, it was revealed that the season would come with a few changes.

“MTV will be filming these girls for a longer period of time,” Teen Mom Junkies reported last month. “One of the many complaints about 16 & Pregnant is that the girls are filmed for a five month period of time and viewers are unable to really see how the girls struggle with education and a social life after their baby is born. Rumor has it that MTV might follow the teens for nine or more months this time around to be sure to catch these things.”

The girls will also see a different income for their participation.

“The new season 6 girls are likely to get paid less than any season before, because MTV is working to change the viewpoint that this show makes girls with poor decision making skills into overnight celebrities with one 60 minute show,” the site explained.

In addition, the network is reportedly aiming to find girls in less ideal circumstances from previous years.

“MTV is allegedly going to be casting girls in terrible situations this year, and there’s a chance that we might see storylines that are completely unique to the franchise. MTV is reportedly planning on pairing up with hospitals around the country to try and have them recommend young girls for the show.”

No word yet on a 16 & Pregnant season 6 premiere date.
