When it comes to weight loss success, Kirstie Alley joined Snooki, Melissa McCarthy, and Kim Kardashian in taking the diet cake in 2014. If you’ve resolved to make 2015 your year to follow their lead, they’re also sharing their slim secrets.

For Kirstie, using the Jenny Craig plan again seemed like the obvious solution, reported People magazine. She shed 75 pounds during her tenure as a spokeswoman for the weight loss program.

This time, Alley says she lost 50 pounds, she and now wears a size six or eight. In addition to diet, Kirstie has incorporated exercise into her lifestyle, which helps her stay on track.

“I got a yellow townie bike and I ride over to friends’ houses. I bribe people. I’ll say, let’s ride to this restaurant and I’ll pay for dinner. And believe me: If I bike four miles to a restaurant, I don’t wreck it with my order.”

In contrast, Melissa McCarthy used a low-carb diet to take off an estimated 45 pounds as the Inquisitr reported. The high protein diet helps curb her cravings while she focuses on improving her health.

“Melissa realized she wasn’t being as healthy as she could be. She wants to set a good example for her kids and she wants to be around to become a grandmother too,” said a source.

Mom of two, Snooki had her eyes set on the prize of fitting into her wedding dress to focus on her post-baby weight loss goals, reported E News. She credits working out all through her pregnancy for boosting her metabolism, and learned from her first experience shedding pounds after having Lorenzo.

“Basically I just worked out my entire pregnancy,” admitted Snooki.

However. she believes that diet trumps exercise when it comes to weight loss and breastfeeding helps too.

Snooki follows a Paleo diet that’s low in carbohydrates and emphasizes protein with non-starchy veggies as the Inquisitr revealed.

“It is basically all diet! You have to eat well and you know try to do some cardio and breast feeding helps. It is 300 calories every time you pump. I would say losing weight is 80% diet and 20% working out.”

Kim Kardashian is focused on fitting into her clothes that she wore five years ago, reported E News. She posted a photo of herself with a vow to restore her pre-baby body.

“Ughhhh I am 20 pounds lighter here! This was just 5 years ago! Ok i’m going back on my grind. I gotta get back here!”

That “grind” involves the high fat low carb Atkins diet as the Inquisitr revealed. Also followed by Sharon Osbourne, the weight loss program involves eating generous servings of healthy fats, moderate amounts of protein, and limited carbohydrates.
