Liam Payne: Inside One Direction Star’s New Mansion
One Direction star Liam Payne has splashed out over £5 million on an incredible property in suburban Surrey. Liam’s new three-story pad comes complete with a luxury outdoor swimming pool, stunning views, a tennis court, cinema, and even a ballet studio. A 700-bottle wine store will ensure that one Direction pals Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan won’t go thirsty if they pop round for a drink.
When you are one-fifth of the worlds biggest “boy band,” privacy comes at a premium, and the Mirror reports that Liam Payne has moaned in the past about people knowing where he lives in London’s docklands, and he was clearly eager to get a new place. The Daily Mail reports that Liam’s new home comes equipped with a state-of-the-art security system.
A source told the Sun, “The security is insane. Every part of the house and grounds are in camera isolation zones, many heat and motion monitored.”
Liam, who grew up in a £150,000 three-bed semi-detached house in Wolverhampton, is just 21, and will be able to share his new super-mansion with girlfriend Sophia Smith, although it’s not clear if the pair are moving in together. The purchase is sure to fuel speculation that the pair are engaged to be married, after they were spotted making a purchase in engagement ring heaven Tiffany’s just before Christmas.
Whilst £5 million might seem a lot to pay for a house, it is unlikely to make much of a dent in Liam Payne’s bank balance. It was reported that One Direction’s world tour last year earned over £180 million and was the biggest tour of the year, with an estimated 3.4 million people seeing the show. Liam and the boys are back out on the road for another 80-date world tour next month. If Sophia is left at home while Liam is out on tour, she is sure to enjoy that bathroom.
Given the beauty and style of Liam’s new pad, it’s obvious that Liam has taken his time when looking at homes to make sure he’s gotten his money’s worth. It’s not clear who does the cooking when Liam and Sophia are together at home, but it shouldn’t prove too much of a chore in Liam’s new kitchen.
Liam previously lived in a flat in a high-rise apartment block in London’s Docklands, and was forced to apologize last year after being photographed balancing on the ledge outside on the 34th floor. There will be no danger of a repeat performance at the new house.
Liam has so far remained quiet about his new house, but he did take to Twitter to wish his fans a Happy New Year.

It certainly looks like the New Year is starting with a new start for Liam Payne, as he looks set to move to his new home.
