MTV Couple Maci Bookout & Taylor McKinney Pose For Family Photo, ‘Teen Mom’ Shares Baby Bump Photo

MTV couple Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney announced they were expecting their first child together earlier this week. Days later, the couple has posed for a sweet photo with the Teen Mom star’s first child, 6-year-old Bentley Edwards.

In the photo, which was shared on Facebook by a Teen Mom fan page on January 1, Bookout is seen showing off her baby bump in a red shirt as she holds a pair of pink Converse sneakers beside her pregnant belly. In the middle of the picture, Bentley is seen sitting on Santa’s lap with a sign that reads, “I asked Santa for a baby sister.” McKinney is holding a sign, as well, which says, “Santa said ‘Yes!’ Special delivery June 2015.”

For the last several months, Bookout and McKinney have been filming scenes for Teen Mom Season 5. Although the series was canceled at the end of 2015 when Bookout’s co-star, Amber Portwood, went to prison, MTV brought the series back this past August.

The MTV couple first announced their baby news on December 29, as reported by the Inquisitr.

“Last time, there was a lot of worry and concern,” she explained, according to MTV’s blog. “It was just me and Bentley facing the world together, and I had to figure things out as I went. This time, I’m able to be excited because I’m older and able to give my baby the stability of the relationship that Taylor and I have.”

Also in the interview, Bookout discussed her marriage plans and revealed she’s a bit apprehensive about what fans will think.

“Before I got pregnant, we talked heavily about marriage — and we still do, but I don’t want to be a pregnant bride. That would be way too stressful!” Bookout told In Touch Weekly, according to Radar Online. “Plus, I want to be able to have fun at my wedding.”

Now, Bookout is hoping to become engaged in 2015.

“Obviously, I wish we would have been married first, but everything will come together afterwards,” she said. “I’m a bit apprehensive — I just hope people don’t judge. We are a little bit scared people might not be as supportive as we want them to be [because we’re not married], but I hope they are.”

Bentley is “beyond excited,” Bookout explained. “He’s already nicknamed the baby Bubby.”

The MTV couple will return to the network later this year for Season 5 of Teen Mom.
