Stunning Family Photos: Woman Shares Photo Comparisons Of Herself And Seven Generations Of Women In Her Family

Have you ever wondered about the genealogical history of your family? Most people have probably wondered about the origin of their family and how their ancestors may have looked, but one woman recently took it upon herself to make really cool comparison pictures between herself and her ancestors.

On December 29, Christine McConnell, a photographer located in Pasadena, CA, took to Facebook with some interesting pictures that have caught the attention of hundreds of viewers.

According to the Daily Beast, McConnell’s eclectic style has been dubbed “wonderful weirdness” due to her edgy artistic style that can even be considered “creepy” at times. The pictures are definitely a reflection of her style. While they are extremely captivating, the resemblance is a bit creepy!

The talented 32-year-old photographer shared pictures of seven generations of women from her maternal side of her family. However, that’s not all she did. She took the time to do a creative photo comparison of her looks and those of her ancestors.

McConnell uploaded the original pictures of her ancestors alongside photo-shopped versions of the same picture with her own face. The pictures date back more than 200 years, starting with her great-great-great-grandmother. She takes viewers through pictures from 1821 all the way to present day, with a recent picture of herself. She even jokingly shared a picture of her “daughter” Trigger, which most viewers found quite comical. The reenacted pictures are quite breath-taking!

Although the women lived during different eras, its quite evident that they are all related due to their striking resemblance. Needless to say, the finished product was quite stunning, and the pictures have garnered lots of attention via Facebook.

Here are some of the comments:

“These are stunning! My favorite pair is of you and your Grandmother. You were born for that era! Just beautiful!”

“I think this was a really great idea. You can tell which members of the family that you get some of your different facial characteristics from. This would be an awesome family tradition! It also helps to make the previous generations more “real.”
