Iggy Azalea Has TMJ — Is Beef With Azealia Banks To Blame?
Pop-rap icon Iggy Azalea took to Twitter to reveal that she’s been diagnosed with TMJ, a muscular disorder that can be caused by stress, according to a report on Idolator. It certainly sounds like the Fancy star isn’t having the best year, since TMJ can come with some pretty intense pain. Nonetheless, the rapper isn’t letting a nasty case of TMJ come between her and the studio. She announced to her Twitter fans that she is currently working on her second album before sending out New Year’s wishes to her fans.

2014 was an interesting year for the Aussie hit-maker. She seemed to blow up out of nowhere with a chart-topping album that paved the way for her to win several Grammy awards. She’s quickly become an icon not only in hip-hop but in pop music, much to the ire of her critics, which have included Azealia Banks (as per usual) and a handful of outspoken folks who don’t like the idea of a white woman dominating the rap industry. She’s been accused of misappropriating black culture, racial insensitivity, and ignorance — among other things — and has even found herself on the receiving end of Nicki Minaj’s shade. Nonetheless, she looks forward to 2015 and the making of her new album.
Could Iggy’s recent TMJ diagnosis be the result of too much stress? With 2014 being so eventful for the superstar, it doesn’t seem out of the question at all — especially with her beef with Azealia Banks. Of course, that beef has been ongoing for at least two years, maybe longer. Iggy’s recent burst of fame and popularity has only heightened that beef.
All beef aside, Iggy Azalea kicked off 2015 in style, surrounded by glitz and glamour — oh, and her man was there too. During festivities in Las Vegas, Nick Young joined his famous rapper girlfriend on stage. The Daily Mail reports that the couple were practically inseparable throughout New Year’s Eve. The two have been inseparable for several months, with their romance flourishing before the public eye. Hopefully, Iggy can focus on her blossoming relationship with Nick Young and less on the tension caused by rapper beefs, internet trolls, and gossip blogs. All those things can’t be good for a TMJ diagnosis.
