The game takes place just two hours away from Arizona’s campus in Tucson, giving the No. 10 ranked Wildcats a key advantage in their matchup with the No. 20 ranked Broncos.

The Vizio Fiesta Bowl kicks off at 4 p.m. on New Year’s Eve from Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

For Arizona, the bowl game is a chance to bounce back from their disappointing Pac-12 Championship game, in which they lost 51-13 to Oregon. With a win, the Wildcats can finish with the second most wins in team history and move to a perfect 3-0 in bowl games under third-year coach Rich Rodriguez.

“I think we’re trying to put Arizona back on the map,” Arizona sophomore linebacker Scooby Wright III told Fox Sports.

Fans who watch Boise State vs. Arizona live online will also see if the Broncos can reach their sixth 12-win season in the last nine years. Boise State enters the game riding a nine-game winning streak and are playing in their 13th consecutive bowl game.

But the Broncos know that, in order to win, they’ll have to stop the Wildcats’ high-powered offense. Boise State’s defensive coordinator Marcel Yates even joked that he might have to appeal to Rodriguez directly to take his foot off the gas.

“I’m going to talk to them and see if we can make a bet and just slow it down,” Yates joked Sunday morning. “I like it slow. I like to sit up there and see what’s going on and look at my call sheet and make the perfect call. It’s not going to work that way against Arizona.”
