‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Kaley Cuoco Says She’s Not A Feminist, Loves Playing Housewife

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, co-star on the popular TV show The Big Bang Theory, explained to Redbook that she recognizes the strides women have made to ensure gender-equality, but she does not consider herself a feminist.

When asked about it, Cuoco said explained her feelings.

“It’s not really something I think about. Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around… I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that’s because I’ve never really faced inequality.”

That sounds honest, considering that she recently signed a new for The Big Bang Theory that promises to pay her one million dollars per episode. Male co-stars Jim Parsons and Jim Galecki receive the same amount.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting went on to talk about her own old-fashioned relationship with husband Ryan Sweeting.

“I cook for Ryan five nights a week: it makes me feel like a housewife; I love that. I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I’m so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him. My mom was like that, so I think it kind of rubbed off.”

The Big Bang Theory star has been upfront about both her personal life and beliefs.

As the Inquisitr reported, Kaley Cuoco also talked about her breast implant surgery, calling it the best decision she’s ever made.

“I had no boobs! And it really was the best thing ever! I always felt ill-proportioned. My implants made me feel more confident in my body. It wasn’t about trying to be a porn star or wanting to look hot and sexy.”

That confidence may have helped make her one of the highest paid actors on television.

As People Magazine reported, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and her co-stars have the same deal the cast of Friends received for their final season, except The Big Bang Theory is slated to run at least another three years.

Kaley Cuoco explained how much of a blessing the salary deal was to her and her family.

“All I think about is what it means for my family… knowing that there is security for all of us… I remember always hoping I could help take care of them because they took such good care of me. Knowing I’ll be able to just brings tears to my eyes.”

Before the million dollars an episode contract, Kaley Cuoco and company were getting about $300,000 per episode.

That’s not so surprising, considering the show’s smash success. In its seventh season, The Big Bang Theory brought in an average of 20.3 million viewers per episode.
