Farrah Abraham’s Parenting Slammed: Adult Film Star Dyes Daughter’s Hair?
Farrah Abraham’s parenting has come under attack in the past. The former Teen Mom has been put on blast for deciding to pluck her daughter’s eyebrows while she slept and, now, she is being targeted for a recent photo which allegedly shows her five-year-old daughter with highlights in her hair.
The photo in question shows Farrah and Sophia sitting on Santa’s lap. The naturally dark-haired little girl appears to have some honey-colored highlights in her hair, but as Fishwrapper points out, they are very subtle and could be caused by nothing more than the lighting. It is best to point out that, in the photo, Farrah’s hair also appears lighter on top that may very well be due to the lighting of the photograph. In fact, the way the photo appears on Twitter it seems as though Farrah took a picture of a picture to put on Twitter that could also explain the wonky lighting.
Other photos of Sophia that have recently been posted do not show any potential highlights which help Farrah Abraham’s parenting case. However, that hasn’t stopped the former Teen Mom from being criticized for her parenting. Although she hasn’t mentioned anything about the potential hair highlights, even if she were to speak out about it, there is no doubt that people would still slam her parenting style.
When Sophia was three, Farrah Abraham’s parenting was slammed because she went public with waxing her daughter’s eyebrows. On Good Morning America, Farrah explained why she chose to pluck her daughter’s eyebrows.
“Cosmetic surgeries, to me, is something that is way different from plucking your eyebrows. I can help my daughter in a little way by just plucking a few hairs, I think I did something right.”
However, her explanation was not met with too much praise, and she further took to Twitter to defend herself.
“Unibrows are not sacred! Do the right thing. Tweeze no matter what age. Sophia’s beautiful with unibrow or without! Point is take care of your child’s hygiene.”
Farrah Abraham also revealed that as a child, she too had a unibrow. There is no doubt that Farrah knows first-hand what it is like to deal with that growing up, so she wanted to help her daughter. Of course, not everyone agrees with Farrah Abraham’s parenting style and, as a result, they take to slamming her. As previously reported by the Inquisitir, Farrah was even slammed for sharing a simple family photo over Christmas.
Of course, potentially adding highlights to a five-year-old’s hair is completely different from waxing eyebrows. However, there are ways to add splashes of color to a young child’s hair that are non-permanent and wash out easily. Some parents use Kool-Aid to add random, funky streaks of color or there are also sprays which wash out after one wash. These methods are typically not harmful to a child’s hair.
No matter what, at the end of the day, Farrah Abraham’s parenting style will continue to be slammed. Sophia appears to be a healthy and happy five-year-old, and that is what matters.
